God’s Love and acceptance

What does God really think of me?

The first four chapters of Romans make it very clear that we can’t save ourselves. We are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). But because of what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross, by faith we are “justified as a gift by His grace” (v. 24)

Jesus has done for you what you cannot do. He purchased full approval and forgiveness for you from the Father. You cannot have grace without the Cross. But because of the Cross, you have full access to His grace.

How does God really think of you and me?
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade – kept in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:3-4)

Our identity is found in Jesus Christ. It is rooted in the freedom-giving mercy of Jesus Christ. Our identity is that of a child of God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ. Our spiritual inheritance is one of forgiveness, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and hope of spending all eternity enjoying fellowship with God. It is this truth that gives us unconditional love, intimacy, security and hope. And it is not based on our identity, but on what God has already accomplished at the cross of Jesus Christ. When God has given you and me his inheritance; He must think highly of us we have become one in HIM.
This way He has protected us once and for all, He said no one can take you out of my hands. Before we stood outside God unprotected, the enemy had his way with us. But now we are in Christ and we have become one with him. We are protected by his everlasting covenant.

There is a certain freedom that comes from realizing and admitting honestly that we do not bring anything to the table when it comes to God’s acceptance. No matter how good or bad we think we are, it is only the finished work of Jesus that gives us access to God’s presence. That is not a narrow victory. it was a glorious, overwhelming, utterly final and compete victory that led the forces of evil captive and on display. If we feel unworthy, we are correct. If we feel unaccepted or unloved, we are wrong. We must simultaneously be in a state of humbleness and joy at our position in Christ if we have accepted His free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Our freedom extends forever back and forever forward, but we must yield to our Lord’s direction and the guidance of scripture and the Holy Spirit so that we use this freedom to glorify Him.

I know, that i know, that i know. The Father Loves me. And still changing me from Glory to glory. And I’m In Love with my Heavenly Father, not for only what he does. But for he is. I’d Taste and see that He is Good!!!
